As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experiencedNetwork Engineer – Managed Services Support to join our team on an initial6-month fixed-term contract, with strong potential to transition into a permanent role based on performance and team fit.
Role Overview
This role is suited to a hands-on engineer with a strong operational mindset, experienced in supporting business-critical infrastructure, responding to incidents, managing change, and contributing to service stability and continuous improvement within a managed services environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide Level 2/3 operational support for enterprise network environments within managed services
• Support and maintain LAN, WAN, and wireless infrastructure to ensure availability, performance, and stability
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network, wireless, and security incidents, including root cause analysis and ongoing problem management
• Support core and accesss witching, routing, and campus networks across multi-site environments
• Operate and support enterprise wireless networks, diagnosing performance, coverage, and interference issues in live environments
• Monitor network health and performance using monitoring and alerting tools, proactively identifying and responding to incidents
• Perform operational support for network security platforms, including firewall rule changes and policy updates
• Assist with security operations, including firewall troubleshooting and change activities
• Execute incident, change, and problem management processes aligned with ITIL and managed services frameworks
• Participate in after-hours, on-call support for critical incidents as part of a roster
• Produce and maintain clear operational documentation, including run books, knowledge articles, incident reports, and post-incident reviews
• Work within defined SLAs, KPIs, and support processes to meet customer and service obligations
• Collaborate with project and engineering teams during transition from project delivery to BAU support
Candidate Profile
• Minimum 5years’ experience supporting medium to large enterprise environments, ideally within a managed services or operations role
• Strong experience supporting enterprise networking technologies, including:
- Core and access switching
- LAN/WAN routing
- Campus and multi‑site network environments
• Experience with Cisco DNA Center (DNAC) or similar network onboarding and automation tools would be highly desirable.
• Solid understanding of enterprise wireless networking, including performance and fault diagnosis
• Hands‑on experience with network monitoring and alerting tools, such as:
- SolarWinds
- PRTG
- Cisco DNACenter Assurance
- Or equivalent enterprise monitoring platforms
• Strong trouble shooting capability across network, wireless, and security domains
• Experience working within ITIL‑aligned managed services frameworks
• Willingness to participate in after‑hours support for critical incidents, as part of a roster
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly document incidents, changes, and resolutions
Desirable Certifications and Experience
• CCNPEnterprise or CCNP Wireless
• Wireless certifications such as CWNA, CWDP, or CWAP
• Palo Alto certifications (e.g. PCCET, PCNSE)
• Juniper certifications (e.g. JNCIA, JNCIS)
• Cisco ISE/ Network Access Control (NAC) experience, including exposure to policy enforcement and wired/wireless integration
• Palo Alto firewall experience (policy changes, troubleshooting, operational support)
• Exposure to Juniper switching and/or routing
• Experience supporting business‑critical or highly available environments
• Experience working within MSP or outsourced services models
